What the cost consists of
The cost of trademark registration consists of two main parts:
- State fees — mandatory payments to Rospatent
- Specialist services — if you engage patent attorneys or lawyers
State fees (December 2025)
Fees are paid in several stages. The amounts of the fees are the same for electronic and paper filing.
1. When filing the application
- For registering the application and the formal examination — 3 500 ₽
- For examination of the designation (up to 5 Nice classes (MKTU)) — 11 500 ₽
- For each additional class beyond 5 — +2 500 ₽
2. When registering the mark
- For registration and issuance of the certificate (up to 5 classes) — 16 000 ₽
- For each additional class beyond 5 — +1 000 ₽
Important: The discount for electronic filing has been abolished. The amount of the fees is the same regardless of the filing method.
Calculation examples
1-5 Nice classes (MKTU):
- Filing: 3 500 + 11 500 = 15 000 ₽
- Registration: 16 000 ₽
- Total: 31 000 ₽
7 Nice classes (MKTU):
- Filing: 3 500 + 11 500 + (2 500 × 2) = 20 000 ₽
- Registration: 16 000 + (1 000 × 2) = 18 000 ₽
- Total: 38 000 ₽
Specialist services
The cost of patent attorney services in 2025:
- Trademark search — from 5 000 to 20 000 ₽
- Preparation and filing of the application — from 15 000 to 40 000 ₽
- Full-service support — from 35 000 to 80 000 ₽
- Responses to office actions — from 7 000 to 25 000 ₽ per action
Expedited registration
Additional fee for expedited examination:
- For 1 class — approximately 94 400 ₽
- For each additional class — +23 600 ₽
Total cost
On your own (1-5 classes): 31 000 ₽
With a specialist (1-5 classes): 50 000 - 100 000 ₽
Expedited (1 class): from 180 000 ₽
Tip: Don't cut costs on the search. If the application is refused, the fees are not refunded.
